BC-906-D 1943

The BC-906, part of the IE-46-B test equipment, is a VHF absorption frequency meter. It was used for the determination and adjustment of the frequency radiated by the IFF SCR-595 and SCR 695 transponder equipment. The measurement frequency is 150 to 225 Mhz. On the front panel is a micro-ammeter that displays a minimum reading when the instrument is resonant with a signal source. The other parts of the IE-46-B are: Receiver BC-1066-B and Signal Generator I-196-B.

TELEPHONE EE-8 A (TM 11-333)

Field phone usable in local or central battery. Contained in a leather case, it is composed of an aluminum frame connected by a flexible cord to a TS-9 handset

TELEPHONE TP-9 (TM 11-2059)

Field phone housed in a light alloy casing and typically used on wired circuits with double range of the EE-8.

The TP-9 is a telephone with a built-in tube amplifier. It is used to improve the range and the quality of the signals on long telephone lines, thanks to 2 batteries supplying 2 amplifiers (one for transmission and one for reception). It is mainly used as a field phone. It is used when it is not advisable or possible to use repeaters like the EE-99 A (which was positioned every 16 kms). The TP-9 is used at the last points or in the middle of two-wire lines. The distances traveled can be doubled compared to regular EE-8 A field phones. Best results can be obtained if a TP-9 or TA-264 / PT is used at both ends of the DHAFY line.

The device is waterproof when closed. A call can be displayed acoustically or visually (switchable). Differences between TA-264 / PT and TP-9:

TA-264 / PT has serial numbers above 9266

TP-9 has serial numbers up to 9266.
