A word from the President
Hello and welcome to this site representing the Association "His History, my Emotions".
This Association, Law of 1901, was created in January 2020. It was created by enthusiasts of History and the Duty of Memory.
Like many other children after the War, my father wanted to pass on to me what he had felt when France entered the War in 1939 ( then aged age 17), life under the occupation and the arrival of our liberators in 1944 ...
For this, my father also wanted me to make my own opinion by going to visit with him the WW2 museums of my youth which were still authentic and not commercial as now.
I remember the emotions it brought to me, both joy and admiration and sadness. All this doing, the admiration and intimidation of all these characters and events made me feel the greatest respect for their sacrifices. I thought there weren't enough words of praise to qualify what they had done; and I still think so.
Without taking ourselves for these liberators, I quickly understood that we have an important role in the transmission of the memory of these Liberators. Transmission which will be all the more important as these Heroes are becoming more and more rare, while they are the only ones to really know this truth … We are only the humble messengers.
This Association wants to be a complementary relay to this Duty of Memory and we will try to answer it as best as possible ...
In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.
Thank you and enjoy your visit ...
